Built for Elegance
The Feja was crafted in 1926 at a prestigious shipyard in Bolnes, South Holland. Commissioned by Dutch newspaper magnate Sijthoff, she was constructed largely by hand - from the elegant saloon to the commanding wheelhouse.
Her design proved so iconic that in 1936, the royal yacht 'Piet Heijn' was built in her image as a wedding gift for Queen Juliana and Prince Bernhard.
Rescued and Restored
In 1996, the current owners discovered Feja at a shipyard, nearly destroyed by decades of neglect. Years of careful restoration brought her back to life, and she now serves as both family home and a unique bed and breakfast in Amsterdam's historic Eastern Docklands.
